IRBM is headquartered in Pomezia (Rome), Italy and provides several integrated pre-clinical laboratory services across the entire drug discovery process, ranging from target validation to clinical candidate molecule selection. The company operates trough collaborations with a number of Pharmaceutical companies, Biotechs as well as research institutes and non-profit foundations working in a range of disease indications. Job Description

The Communications and Digital Marketing Manager is responsible of overseeing all internal and external communications ensuring that the company message is consistent and engaging to promote the company, expanding the brand recognition using marketing materials, internet and other forms of digital communication such as web-based advertising or social media.
She/he will work with the scientific, sales and business development team creating informative content, scientific paper works, white papers, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share the company brand and services with our tailored target audience. The added value will be completed by continues improvement of the website to make it a great virtual experience for our clients and visitors.
She/he will supervise and promote activities that facilitate communication of the organization’s message to internal and external publics, supporting the expansion of the company awareness on a global scale. She/he will be required to report marketing performances trough metrics and analytics.

Key responsibilities

  • Creates communication plans, content and executes communication programs in line with established policies and timelines to engage the potential customer base and increase the brand awareness. Such content includes white papers, Website content, Newsletters, Marketing Materials, Social media posts
  • Designs and implements marketing plans, to increase the leads generation for the sales team and for the growth of the brand, including activities as:
    • Writing/editing internal and external communications pieces and parts of annual reports.
    • Pushing the company message to online communities, media, analysts and the general public
    • Monitoring the company’s online communities and presence
    • Creating marketing opportunities to drive favourable coverage and ultimately leads for the sales team
    • Measures, analyses and interprets campaign data and results and KPIs, presenting them back to the wider team
  • Managing the marketing calendar in support of campaign and conference schedules
  • Ensures that the corporate social responsibility (CSR) company’s program is kept current for all regulations and market trends and coordinates the CSR reporting process
  • Generates, promotes, and evaluates new ideas for scientific articles, press releases, events, etc. and ensures these are presented “on brand and on message” to the market.
  • Writes/edits internal and external communications pieces and parts of annual reports.
  • Maintains the company web site and web pages informative and up to date.
  • Oversees brand website optimisation and content updates based on SEO requirements.
  • Gathers information and evaluates market trends and activities to propose marketing strategies.
  • Analyses and reports on customer segments and trends to identify service and market opportunities.


  • a skilled, creative communicator and collaborator who is data-driven and passionate about science, supporting the company in maximising the market impact 3-5 years marcoms experience and hands-on experience of digital marketing.
  • An excellent scientific writer who can interest and engage a very expert scientific target audience
  • Ability to design digital marketing strategies and tactics
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and monitor campaign data and KPIs
  • Ability to own and drive marketing campaigns/projects
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English (mother tongue preferred) and Italian
  • Strong IT skills with advanced competence in using MS Office suites and Website applications


  • Academic graduate in scientific/technical matters (e.g., biotech, biology, bioengineering, medicinal chemistry…) with 5+ years of experience in scientific communications role
  • Professional marketing qualification is a plus

The position will be based at IRBM’s headquarters in Pomezia (Rome), Italy
