Job Description

We have an opening for a talented and highly motivated Principal Associate Automation manager to join our High Throughput Biology and Screening Unit to lead the automation of the compound management and screening platforms. She/He will actively lead and/or contribute to project teams tasked with rapidly advancing drug discovery programs. A strong background in automation in the field of liquid handling, process automation applied to compound management and screening is expected. She/he will contribute to the design and development and maintenance of the automated systems that support the identification of new active compounds. The successful candidate is expected to work in the lab: she/he will be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. A collaborative attitude and ability to multitask are essential for this position. She/he will be in charge of handling the robotic equipment of the team and will be an interface with the scientific application team to best design and handle out LIMS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the development and use the automated systems for compound management screening and liquid handling
  • Menage a small team of technicians
  • Accurately record, analyze, summarize and present data when required
  • Establish productive working relationships with all team members
  • Maintain high laboratory standards with regard to quality and safety

Leadership competencies/skills:

  • Proven experience in automation
  • Experience with compound management and screening platforms
  • Proven experience in programming and managing complex integrated platforms (such as compound management and HTS)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of English is mandatory


  • Qualification:
  • MSC with at least 10+ years’ experience in equivalent position
