Job Description

We are seeking for a talented and highly motivated scientist to join our Display Technologies Unit focusing on screening antibody and peptide phage display libraries and identifying candidate molecules. In this position, the candidate will contribute to the design, generation and use of libraries and will design and implement the screening methodologies to identify antibody and peptide therapeutics using phage display, as well as developing the functional in vitro and cell-based assays to confirm the binding and the biological properties of the selected molecules. She/he will work within a cross-functional research team, including experienced biochemists, bioengineers, bioinformaticians, and chemists and is expected design, plan and conduct, experiments independently in support of various research projects. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to developing novel methods and technologies: the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, to communicate clearly and effectively and build open and collaborative relationships is essential

Key responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, responsible for design and execution of the selection and screening of antibody and peptide phage display libraries, performing molecular biology techniques, ELISAs, cell culture, flow cytometry, and other cell-based assays.
  • Carry out hands-on work to apply standard molecular biology, immunology, biochemical and cell biology techniques of research to achieve team goals.
  • Work closely with the Display Technologies team as well as scientists in other teams to support antibody and peptide discovery, preclinical, and translational efforts and to ensure that project timelines and goals are met
  • Provide support and be part of research activities aimed at improving existing and at developing innovative new technologies.
  • Perform technical evaluation of research experiments and results, perform data analysis, and statistical analysis and keep detailed records of data.
  • Present results to multifunctional internal and external teams


  • Proven experience in protein display technologies, including but not limited to phage display along with hands-on experience in molecular and cell biology procedures, including tissue culture, protein and nucleic acid manipulation.
  • Hands- on expertise in antibody generation, screening, engineering and optimization is desirable
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with outstanding record-keeping and oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent team player with an ability to work independently in a time-sensitive multiple projects environment.
  • Engaged and passionate about work with a zeal to take ownership and accountability.
  • Proven working experience in an industrial environment would be considered a plus.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English is mandatory.


Required: Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering or related disciplines with at 5+ years relevant experience in academia or Biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
Preferred Ph.D. in Ph.D. in Biological Science (Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry, Protein Engineering) or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience in experience in academia or Biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
