Scientific Equipment Services Specialist


He/she will part of a dynamic team of multi-skilled technical staff and will report directly to the Head of Department.


Main duties:

  • Ensuring the correct and consistent implementation of planned/unplanned maintenance programs by managing the personnel involved in carrying out maintenance and calibration and/or by assigning the task to third parties;
  • Managing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance programs;
  • Implementing a preventive maintenance strategy;
  • Collaborating with the Site Services and Safety Department and the Information Technology Department for a cost budgeting analysis aimed to rationalize the maintenance operations and all related procedures in collaboration with Site Services and Safety and IT. Our ideal candidate will be qualified with a Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Scientific Technical Diploma and have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in the same role.

He/she will have a strong knowledge in the field of maintenance and repair of the supplied equipment in research laboratories and a technical support experience in research and production laboratories as part of analytical instruments such as HPLC, UPLC and GC.

The position will be based at IRBM Science Park headquarters in Pomezia (Rome), Italy


We are looking for a motivated Qualified Accountant to join our Finance Department and to assist our team with cost analysis and invoicing.

The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree and will ideally have 3 to 5 years of work experience. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the candidate will be responsible for:

  • VAT registration procedures;
  • Bank reconciliations;
  • Preparation of cash flow and cash forecasts;
  • Preparation of the annual balance sheet;
  • Organizing F24s and other fiscal payments.

A sound knowledge of standard financial and administrative procedures is required, and the ability to work as part of a group is essential.

We are currently seeking a Junior Scientific Project Manager to join the Project Management group. This position works within a multi-disciplinary team and operates as the intermediary between the administrative and scientific departments.

The successful candidate will possess a life sciences background, preferably in biology or medicinal chemistry, and have hands-on laboratory practice and experience in project management and patent law. The business portion of this job position involves overseeing the life cycle of a scientific project, which may include determining study protocols, communicating goals, gathering data, and analyzing the results. Background experience in a life science laboratory will allow the Candidate to be able to collaborate with scientists, to identify their needs, and to support them.  As we are continuously engaged in the conception and creation of new knowledge at IRBM, the successful Candidate should also possess a sound understanding of intellectual property law and procedure in order to collaborate with scientists in the protection of scientific results and to deal with intellectual property rights within the framework of collaborative research (i.e. material transfer agreement, confidentiality agreement, master agreement, collaboration agreement, etc.) and technology transfer (i.e. licenses, assignment, etc.).   • Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the execution of scientific projects;
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time;
  • Tracking and management of communication and other project-related elements related to deadlines and due dates;
  • Serve as a liaison with scientists, technology managers, and external legal counsel to assist with the flow and exchange of information;
  • Communicate with scientists to assure timely preparation and filing of intellectual property documents;

Promidis S.r.l. is seeking a Chemist with a solid background in organic and analytical chemistry.

As member of the chemistry team, the successful candidate will be involved in the planning and execution of multi-step organic synthesis to generate new chemical entities at support of the active series of drug discovery projects, aimed at selecting high quality drug candidates. The ideal candidate will have a MS Degree in Chemistry or CFT with proven ability to design, synthesize, purify and characterize novel organic molecules. Position: Quality Assurance Manager at ADVENT

ADVENT is a GMP-certified Contract Manufacturing Organization, located in Pomezia (Rome) within the IRBM campus and dedicated to production of clinical lots of recombinant adenovirus to support Phase I and Phase II clinical trials for vaccine and gene therapy applications.   ADVENT is authorized to produce investigational medicinal products by the Italian National Regulatory Authority (AIFA) and is compliant with the regulatory guidelines of both FDA and EMA.  Over the years, ADVENT has built an outstanding track record in the successful production of clinical lots and is committed to the highest GMP quality standard.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the company as the Quality Assurance Manager to lead the cGMP Quality Assurance functions supporting through all phases of clinical product release. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying GMP controls and monitoring quality expectations for product development in a phase appropriate manner. She/he will play a critical leadership role within ADVENT and will the report directly to the Scientific Director. Proficiency in spoken and written English is a pre-requisite to apply for this position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Biological Investigational Medicinal Products manufactured at Advent are designed and developed according to the current GMPs.
  • Verify that the production and quality control operations are clearly specified and the current GMPs are adopted.
  • Prepare and approve standard operating procedures, according to the requirements of the regulations.
  • Ensure that all necessary checks on semi-finished products are carried out during the production process and the validations.
  • Warrant that the Investigational Medicinal Products are not supplied to third parties, before a Qualified Person has certified that each production lot has been produced and controlled in accordance with the provisions of the GMP authorization and any other regulation relevant to production, to the control and approval of investigational medicines.
  • Be responsible of internal inspection and/or quality verification procedure, which allows the assessment of the effectiveness and applicability of the Quality Assurance system.
  • Ensure that all development and manufacturing operations are fully documented and that the history of each production batch can be traced.
  • Pro-actively provide input to ensure that the most appropriate agreements are made for the manufacture, supply, use of raw materials and packaging materials.
